Child Protection
We like to think our kids are safe while surfing the internet, but quite often they are not.
Many parent think anti-virus software and a firewall are protection enough, but the fact is that these programs protect the computer, NOT the user. A child or young adult can still accidently (or purposfully!) come across content of a pornagraphic or violent nature, and the computer will quite happily display this content to your child.
Additional software to protect your children is expensive, complicated and hard to get - leaving parents in the dark and your kids exposed. At altFIRE Technologies we believe this will not do at all. In fact, we feel so strongly about it that we will install child protection software on your laptop or computer for absolutely free.
This will by default block all adult material from your kids internet experience, and additionally give you the power to block other sites, eg. bebo, facebook, myspace etc etc using your own chosen password. You can also view information afterwards on what kind of websites your child searches for and create time-based blocking rules eg. No internet at all between 7pm and 9pm - so homework can be done!
We offer this service in conjuntion with any of our other services (PC & Laptop Repair, Linux Migration, Wireless Setup, Website Design etc). Just mention it when contacting us and it's as good as done!
